About Diana
Showcasing my work in the fields of International Relations and Communications and Public Policy.

I was born and raised in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, and for as long as I can remember, studying abroad was my dream. I always knew I wanted to experience life beyond my hometown, explore new opportunities, and push myself in new environments. In 2021, I graduated high school, and by the winter of 2022, I packed my bags and moved to Canada to turn that dream into reality. Since then, it’s been a journey of growth, adaptation, and figuring out just how many layers it takes to survive a Canadian winter.
Professional Background
Politics has always fascinated me. From a young age, I was drawn to understanding how policies shape societies and how global events impact everyday life. Over the years, I’ve channeled that curiosity into my studies, writing countless academic papers on political issues—each one sharpening my ability to analyze, research, and communicate complex ideas effectively. Staying informed is second nature to me; I follow the news daily, always eager to connect the dots between political shifts and real-world consequences. One issue that I care deeply about is climate change—a challenge that demands urgent action, and one that constantly fuels my desire to engage in meaningful conversations and solutions.
Beyond politics, I have a deep passion for digital media and content creation. There’s something exciting about bringing a vision to life—whether it’s through editing, playing with colors, crafting narratives, or pitching fresh ideas. I’ve worked on social media strategy, digital marketing, and graphic design, creating content that’s not only visually appealing but also impactful.
Most recently, I’ve been putting these skills to work at She is Active NB, an initiative dedicated to increasing the participation of women and girls in sports. As a social media strategist, I analyze engagement metrics, develop creative content strategies, and produce Reels, posts, and campaigns that drive awareness and engagement. This role has strengthened my ability to translate data into actionable strategies, balance creativity with analytics, and craft messaging that resonates with diverse audiences. Whether I’m highlighting inspiring stories, designing compelling visuals, or brainstorming ways to expand our reach, I love the challenge of using digital media to spark meaningful change.
